Bayonne Seminary: Fare Thee Well!! |
|
The entire Bayonne Community wishes the girls of the First Graduating
Class of Machon Yehudis Seminary a fond farewell. You will all be
missed! This has been an incredible year. The girls have brought the
joy of friendship to many home bound citizens while still finding the
time to study, travel and enjoy sharing their talents with each other
and their new found friends.
From Rosh Chodesh Women's Events through Holiday and
Children's Parties at Ohav Zedek the girls have brought a new meaning
to the idea of Community Service. Whether they chose to share an
insight into the weekly Torah portion or a quiet afternoon of Scrabble
their presence enhanced our lives and made us all see and feel the joy
with which they completed their tasks.
Thursday afternoons will not be the same this summer.
Home visits on Thursdays were a part of the girls continued involvement
in bringing the message of Torah to our community. For those of you who
were home to enjoy the visits I am sure you understand. For those of
you who came home to find the little notes or gifts that were left by
the girls, I am sure that their good intentions were appreciated.
Machon Yehudis Seminary has made a name for itself as
a place for girls to learn Torah and to aspire to great deeds. This
first graduating class were the pioneers who have now put Bayonne on
the map. While we will miss all of the girls we look forward to meeting
new girls and sharing new experiences with them.
To the girls of the class of 2009: Fare Thee Well and remember you will always have a home in Bayonne.
